Photographer's Note
The plains outside Calgary are a hostile place...with little signs of life and when there are they look very, very small

Great classic depiction and composition, David. Effective use of black & white heightens the feeling of isolation in this land.

I really feel the isolation with this photo, the sky is so foreboding. The darkness also adds to the isolation and hostility. You definitely suceeded in getting that across with the photo. It is a little too dark for my taste, but what do I know? :-)

Hi David.
This picture brings the feel of vastness and isolation in pretty good way. Great, doomy sky brings the element of inevitable misfortune on a way.

David, your gallery is outstanding... have just chanced upon it and am totally impressed...
Love your shots, but the mood of this and the previous one really stands out to me now... the b/w treatment is superb, the tonality gorgeous, mysterious, moody.
Brava!

Nice ambiant, a point to start making our imagination work! I can imagine lot of scenari taking place around there...happy ones and sad ones...it could be a place in "untill the end of the world" from Wenders?
