smartsharpen for better defining the face and Gaussian blur for the background.

I guess, you liked those eyebrows of his! I like this interesting expression on that face too!
Just maybe those faces on the left and right - I would dim them out a little bit more, I think this would benefit your photo a lot. This is just theoretically - unfortunately I do not know how to do it yet.
