One last canyon and waterfalls from Jasper National Park - Sumptawa.
Here you see the river flowing through a canyon leading to the falls which you can see in the workshop. Also in the workshop is a photo taken above the canyon and falls.
The only downer at the scene was the streak of dark haze over the peak.

Hi Ian,
another beautiful photo about these waterfalls, impressive, good depth with the perspective, a photo to give us vertigo ! Well managed the strong light contrast with these shadows, tfs.

Hello Ian,
This doesn't cause as much vertigo as some earlier pictures, but the forward view is just as breathtaking. The naked peak coming out of the forest connects well with the grey rocks beside the river. Good photos in the WS too, but I agree that #2 is rather too smooth.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Ian,
You have captured well the power of the current. The point of view is showing the details of the walls of the canyon. The light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Ian
A breath taking canyon and its steep cliff giving us the taste of height and scale at the same time. Mass of detail, textures and flowing water work a treat. Excellent

Hello Ian,
The river between the rock walls with quickly streaming water, makes your picture attractive
You create nice depth picture.
An excellent composition and splendid presentation.
Very well done, TFS.

Hello Ian,
Even without the drama of the waterfalls, the rapidly flowing river makes a strong feature, cutting its way through the eroded, rocky gorge, whilst all around is the wonderful, wild scenery of conifer forests and a naked mountain peak.
I’m not a fan of the slow shutter speed on the cascading water but, I know many will enjoy it.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Hello Ian,
Nice to be able to show the mountain top in an extension of the wild flowing water.
Beautiful and impressive canyons appear to be in abundance in that part of Canada.
WS1 is another wonderful picture of the infinite natural beauty of Jasper National Park.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ian
What a lovely picture of the backcountry, captured with great depth provided by the raging river that dug patiently the granite!
Most impressive is the overall resolution from near field up to the mountain.
Lot of fresh air over there! Many compliments.
Cheers

Hello Ian,
Perfect sharpness and a fine vertiginous view downwards into the chasm. The bare rocky peak in the bg provides a focal point. Tfs!

Hello Ian,
Again, you chose the wide-angle wisely to include as much as you could from the beauty of rugged nature.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Ian.
Wow ..... Wonderful image the same as the WS. The perspective of the canyon is sensational with the rapid waters of the river, ideally the mountain right in front of it, with its well-defined peak.
Well done. I like it a lot.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Ian
I'd like this photo even without the sky portion, the lower half is where all the drama and focal point is. love the opening and how it spreads apart like that, making the scene look wider than it really is. and thanks for the WS on my own photo, you did a great job :)
cheers
Craig
