For my last posting from Maligne Canyon here is the most vertiginous view that I could find in my photos, provided because a few of you have commented that looking into some of my Rockies canyon photos has almost given them vertigo.
There is the river - along way below up near the start of the canyon. I've also just noticed that you can see another view point with a necessary safety fence, above the canyon near the top of the photo where I also took photos.
In the workshops are another 2 deep views into the canyon.

Hello Ian, The canyon is very narrow so it doesn't give me a vertigo feeling, anyway, when I look at the screen. excellent all the photos, fantastic colours and sharpness.

Pozdrav.
Lepa reka i zeleno drvece na litici kanjona, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i dobrim tekstom.
Lepa fotografija i priroda.
Zelim vam sve najbolje u novoj nedelji koja je pocela.
Paja.

Hello Ian,
This view is almost scary and I can imagine I might have felt uncomfortable standing on that bridge. The water is very far below. Again it's mainly the colours of the rocks that impress me, and their contrasts against the vegetation. Especially in WS #2 the colours and shapes look like modern art.

Gert

Hello Ian,
The view down, into this narrow canyon is truly spectacular! The strength of the water, rushing between these rocks, over millennia, has created these vertical walls, revealing different strata, so very tactile, as well as multicoloured!
Isn't Nature amazing, how plants can thrive in such an environment!
Three excellent photographs!
I imagine the noise was loud!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Ian,
The canyon is impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the walls of the Maligne Canyon. THe light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.

Hi Ian,
very impressive view indeed and it could make someone dizzy just by looking at that.
I thought that the summer may have more sunshine to lit the canyons but autumn certainly decorated the rocks with fantastic colors.
Excellent series of photos,

A magnificent canyon picture, Ian, one in several photos on this subject, including the WS's.
Depth, in double meaning, with fabulous sight of the vegetation grow upon the sheer cliff.
My best regards,
Ike

if you are distracted walking and suddenly find this narrow and deep gap you probably will be afraid. amazing place. I can imagine the power of the water during the floods here.
