A pair of big Bighorn Rams push and shove each other around during the fall rut. Every year Rams gather in the Columbia Valley in and around Radium Hot Springs and Kootenay National Park for the annual rut. It is an impressive display of power and force when 2 Rams weighing close to 400lbs face off with each other, rear up and crash into each other at speeds up to 40km an hour, the resounding crash echoes throughout the mountains...it is most impressive! I converted to black and white because I thought it really added some atmosphere to the image and added to the intensity these 2 Rams are displaying. Kootenay National Park, British Columbia, Canada
