Un différent point de vue d'une montagne de résidus minier que j'ai publié le 3 janvier 2009. Le bleu profond est un arrière-plan intéressant pour cette halde grise sur laquelle on peut apercevoir des traces en forme d'anneau que les VTT et les motos ont créés à force de passer souvent au même endroit.

A different point of view of a mountain of mining residues that I post on January 3rd 2009. The deep blue makes an interesting background for this gray dump on which we can see traces made by four wheelers and dirtbikes.

Hi Denis,
Your photo makes me see how deceiving photography can be and here is why.
My guess is that this hill cannot be higher than 50m or so, considering the wheel tracks.
Yet, it looks disproportionately huge, comparable to a real mountain in the Canadian Rockies.
See all the photos taken from a plane; see how humble and dwarfed real mountains look like! This is the reason for I hate those photos; they just show a disproportionate image of those mountains while when you hike those mountains, the perception is totally different.
This is why I appreciate your photo and not necessary because of the nice blue sky:)

I like the mines landscapes, they are so unearthly.
I remember visiting plenty of the in Death Valley.
You have really wild colors here. I like this composition.

Merci pour ta dernière visite.
Un paysage lunaire en haute résolution, étrangement coiffé de l'espace bleu au lieu de noir, et qui porte des traces de LEM sur ses flancs!...Quelle image attrayante aux liges élégantes.

La prise de vue dirige notre regard ver le haut de la montagne de résidus ce qui donne de la perspective à la photo. La bonne luminosité donne un bon contraste entre le bleu du ciel et le gris des résidus. Bonne soirée.

C`est comme si le vent aurait soufflé la base. Très bons détails et dégradé du ciel donnant la ressemblence d`un paysage lunaire vraiment unique.

Hi Denis,
Amazing landscape and compo. The grey of the slope seems to make the sky more blue. I like also how the slope seems to have been smudged by a brush. I guess the little lonely tree is quite important in the compo.
