Photographer's Note

Looking south across the Juan de Fuca Strait from the Victoria BC waterfront. The Olympic Mountains are in the distance. A Great Blue Heron is catching small fish in the shallows of low tide. This was one of our first warm sunny days of early summer. There is still lots of snow on the mountains.

I used a polarizer filter here which made a HUGE difference. Please see my WORKSHOP to see the same shot with the polarizer turned to show the glare. It illustrates how the polarizer does so much more than darken the sky.
