Photographer's Note
Like flying saucers realizing that they were on a collision course,
the black shapes deftly veered in a myriad of directions.
One pulled up hard,
the others broke to the right and left.
A tragedy was averted.

This is the fourth in my Rainy Day series. The previous pics were Goodbye to Summer, A Sense of Foreboding, and ~Waiting~ This pic was taken on the corner of Robson and Granville in downtown Vancouver.

Ah....... not a roof in sight!
Hahaha, Hi Alex!
Great candid buddy, complimented by a witty story- reminds me of "The Far Side".
I like the look on the girls face- it kind of sums it up doesn't it?

Nice capture and post prod work. It's very hard to take pictures with bat weather.

this does capture the feeling of the northwest, but i don't like this as much as the others in this series. the composition seems lacking. (and, i wish you didn't cut off part of the umbrella on the left)
it's funny, because it is obviously raining there and the weather is drastically different, but people are dressing the same in vancouver as in phoenix! this week it's been in the upper 80's, low 90's here, with no rain.

haha... nice title, Old ladies with an umbrella are one of the major threats for my eyes while strolling in Paris when it rains ... along with dog sh*t (though the latter doesn't apply for my eyes...).
Rainy days often improve dull backgrounds, providing lots of reflection such as on the walkways. Rainy days are shooting days.
Perhaps the feel of being traped by the umbrellas would have been enhanced if you had tightend your frame on the top and the left hand side, giving a feeling we cannot escape from them.
Streetphoto as I like it, overall.

This one does not work much to me. Although I like the exposure, the motif needs an extra ingredient to make it stand out. I think a more daring POV like shooting from ground level to up or vice-versa could have worked well.
