Photographer's Note

So what's with the title you ask?

I'm sure you've all heard about, perhaps even read the book that's #1 around the world - 50 Shades of Grey.

Well, as some of you may know the movie came out a few months ago - and from what people tell me, its really bad. And no, I havn't seen it, and no, i'm not lying

Our TE friend Brenda from New York, informed me that the movie was actually filmed in Vancouver - I didn't know that.

She was able to recognize a number of buildings and city scenes in the movie from the photos I've posted on TE :)

How cool is that right!!!
She specifically mentioned she recognized Coal Harbour and Gas Town, areas I've posted many times here.

So I thought it would be fitting to post another Coal Harbour photograph for Brenda.

This was taken a few days ago on a super sweet spring day. It wasn't the best time of day as you can see the lighting was a bit strong, so I managed it as best I could. Perhaps I should have waited a few more hours to catch the BEST evening light, but I just didn't have the time as I had to head to work at the hospital for a night shift. And again i'm having trouble with the re-sizing of my images, the photo is a bit blurry. Check out for a sharper image. I think i'm going to use only the BETA version of Trek Earth from now on.

Still, I hope you like this view of our city. Those sea planes take you over the Ocean to Vancouver Island, about a 30 min flight. The World renowned Stanley Park is off to the right in the bg, see those green trees? That's the Park. Behind me is the Olympic Cauldron, and Canada Place or the Colored Sails I've posted many times before.

Have a great week!
