Photographer's Note
Near the shoreline at Wickaninnish Beach the wind and waves roll into where clumps of kelp seaweed bring evidence of a rich sea life. I was very impressed with the beauty of this place. Enjoy!

Bonjour Paul
Quelle belle symphonie de bleus. Le mouvement des vagues est bien saisi.
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.

There's a deceptive simplicity to this image; deceptive because I can see that you really thought about the composition before firing the shutter. It's well balanced, with the rocks in the foreground framing the distant shoreline, and the haze in the bckground enhances the feeling of distance.
I like the fresh, windswept feel of the image; it really transports the viewer to this place, and I can almost hear the crashing waves.
Excellent work.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Paul,
Indeed impressive to see this beautiful landscape. The calm water in front and the more wilder part in the back with the waves that are rolling in. Your light creates a certain mood which is very pleasant to look at, great atmosphere...perfect.
Have a nice weekend, Henk

Hello Paul -
Reminds me of home - northern California. A pleasing image and composition - something I can sit and look at all day. I can even smell the sea air and here the crash of the wave. This is a well crafted image.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Paul. I think the thing I like the most about this one is the light. I love rugged coastlines like these. I might like to see more of the seaweed in front of you. tfs Paul!

Beautiful seascape! The clarity is really good, compared to my shots from the same place, probably because of the weather. I like the slight mist in front of those trees, giving this a sense of depth or 3 dimensions. Great work!

Hi, there,
I like your composition in this photo with the clear separation of the foreground, background and distance. The opening between the rock slopes makes a good "entry point" to the water and diagonal waves, and I see just enough horizon between the near and far rocks to enter, further on, into the wide blue sea. The haphazard wads of beached kelp are interesting in sight of the neatly vertical trees.. Nice bit of action, that splash on the outer reef :)
Ah, for fresh air and freedom...
Good night from the opposite shore,
Lisa

Hi Paul
This seems a dynamic scene. The crisp waves show a lot of energy and are well delineated in your shot. The blue and cool colour cast fits the scene and the seaweed scattered in the foreground is good contrast and detail. I probably would have cropped a little of the sky but, otherwise, the scene is great.

Hi Paul,
A nice view of BC coastline, from a fine low POV, well composed with good colours , that is not how I imagined that area in september(i thought there would be ice everywhere!

Great shot Pauly;
Excellent exposure, level horizon, nice and sharp, no noise (or water spots), and natural colors.
Paul- I'm not happy, I have nothing to nit-pick about! hahaha
As a personal preference: I think this shot would look great as a panoramic cropping. About 1.5 fingers width off the bottom and top.
All the best Paul,
- Dan
