Photographer's Note

Driving along the Bow Valley Parkway between Banff and Lake Louise we stopped to get some shots at famous yet unknown location where you get views of the Bow Valley River along with a railway straight. Unfortunately there weren't any trains coming through for us to photograph.
Walking back to the car, I happened to spot my first bear sighting of trip- a mother bear and her two cubs crossing about 200ft down the road from where we were just standing. We hurried to the car, and drove down the road to get some shots. Leaning out the car window we could see the cubs just on the edge of the bushes snaking on some berries as mama bear waited patiently about 20ft deeper in the bush.

I hope you like the shot,
- Dan
