Photographer's Note
Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia: A place you must visit!
This is a picture I took on my trip to the Maritime Provinces in Canada (New Brunswick, P.E.I and Nova Scotia).
This place is a photographer's paradise! Too bad I wasn't there at the right time. We were there around noon and the sun was high in the sky but I still managed to get some decent shots.
The lighthouse, built in 1868, is part of a large shore almost made of one block of granite.
Taken with Canon Rebel XT and the Kit Lens 18-55. I used a Polarizer and a split ND for the sky.
Thanks for viewing.

Wass,
This is truly a very original shot of Peggy's Cove. The position of the clouds is perfect and the play of colors quite complete (including bight whites and deep blacks).

Very nice shot. The rock makes the lighthouse look so small and meek. I like how the colors play off each other as well. A nice juxtaposition.

Nice POV:-))
Sharpness and colours very good, composed in a nice way with the huge rocks in the front, nice shot !

Hi Wass
You are too modest. I think of this much higher then just decent shot.
Good compo with great sky colour. Sharpness is excellent so the structure of stone is very clear and make great contrast to smoothness of sky. And this lighthouse is great.

Very interesting composition Wass. Placing the two vertical subjects across both thirds was very well seen. Love the texture on the rock and the natural balanced colors. Throwing those people at the base of the lighthouse was crucial to give some scale to this. Very good photo!
