I had a dear old friend who has now passed away, who spent many years mining and I loved hearing his stories. I admire these workers, as I can't even IMAGINE doing this type of work. It scares the life out of me. An interesting post, very nice pov and colors. TFS

Bonjour Denis,

Hi Denis
The building is nicely complimented by the tall trees. It's nice to see a summertime shot on TE. The exposure and light was well handled and the colours are bold and quite striking.

Hi, Denis.
Simple and extremely effective. Striking greens & blues and a most intriguing atmosphere : it makes me somehow think of De Chirico's paintings, where there are no real tales but forms tell tales of untold stories... Excellent shot!
Have a good day, I'll be seeing you.
Fulvio.

Salut Denis,
An eye catching image, for the superb clarity and colours, but also for the simple graphical arrangement. The tower seems to be trying to look as another tree, for its conical/pyramidal appearance.
Amicalement, José.

Hi Denis,
You are the master at catching the greenest greens and the bluest blues.
The contrast here between natures most prominent colors is brilliant.
Excellent sharpness ahd details in this simple landscape.
Love how you show the beauty reclaiming the mines central Quebec.

Bonjour Denis

bonjour Denis
love the colors in this one. the light seems pretty good too. but how bout losing that tree on the right? just move a sheet of paper onto the right side of the post and move it leftwards just until the tree disappears. i think: the composition becomes much more balanced (i would take a bit off from the top too in that case).
cheers and Happy 2009!

I dont know if it is the beautiful sky of Canada or your camera features but I ve rarely seen such a tone of blue and such neat sky photo. I wish I could take this type of photo with a perfect sky appereance.
