Great macro. The background is very white.
Try to focus on the first beans.

I think this could have been a wonderful shot if the DOF was increased to include all the beans in focus.

Not focussing on the first beans is a great idea. If you followed all the rules and didn't use creativity, nice pictures like this would not be possible! The one problem I find is that even the beans in the back aren't as crisply in focus as they could be. White background is great!
