Autrefois un puit minier d'une profondeur de 375 pieds débordant d'activité minière prenait place ici même. On y a pratiqué l'exploitation de 1955 à 1986. Depuis près de 25 ans que la nature regagne ses droits. Loin derrière, on apreçoit le moulin de 11 étages.

This open-pit has 375 feet of depth. They exploited it from 1955 to 1986. Since that time, the nature regains its rights.Far in the background, we can see the mill of 11 floors.

Bonsoir Denis,
Les réflexions sur l'eau sont des atouts à la compoaition. Les arbres cadrent bien ce lac. La prise de vue dirige mon regard vers le moulin ce qui donne de la profondeur au paysage. La lumière de la fin de l'après-midi rehausse les couleurs de l'image. bonne soirée.

je ne regrette pas le puit et j'apprécie ta photo avec ses reflets "ciel et rivière"
Ton cadrage conduit le regard vers l'infini et surtout le moulin dont tu parles.
Avec un filtre pola ça doit jeter..

Le reflet du ciel dans cette eau calme donne comme résultat une eau bleue spectaculaire.Les reflets sont très nets.L'ajout de la branche à droite donne une belle profondeur à l'image.Super!

Very nice framing with the tree in the foreground. The building gives some idea of the size of the pit. Very nice clarity of colors and a great reflection. Hard to believe such a beautiful place is an open pit mine. As you say, nature took it back.

The lovey pastel sky looks so very vivid as it reflects in the deep quarry hole.
The beautiful wispy clouds contrast brilliantly with the lush green hills.
The old mine building gives this massive hole effective scale.

The blue sky gets even bluer when reflected from water, must be some kind of polarizing effect!
The branch upper right makes a fine framing and creates depth in the composition, good details and pleasant colours...
