Photographer's Note
A quick dip into my archives while my new camera and my old computer are still at odds with each other (Nikon D70S owners, please see forum discussion).
Taken at 8:09 just over a year ago from the south facing window of the fifth storey office where I was then working.
Cropped top and bottom to eliminate some of the heavy cloud that brought lots more snow later that day and the roofs of student houses in front of the university, houses whose residents were almost certainly still fast asleep (^_*)
A bit of history: This city and the township in which it is situated were named Waterloo in 1815-6, after the site of the battle in the previous year which had ended the Napoleonic Wars in Europe.
Waterloo is home to the University of Waterloo, founded in 1957 and Wilfrid Laurier University, which began its life as Waterloo Lutheran University in 1911.

Beautiful moment that makes everyday scene special. There are special colours in the sky, and the scenery in the shadow shows well enough without stealing attention from the sky.
