Photographer's Note

This is an interesting modern building, each side looks completely different. This view is from the south. The randomly placed windows on a black wall reminds me of the stars and galaxies they study inside. I put a view of the building from the east side into the Workshop, on this view the building looks like a space ship. The building was designed by Montreal architect firm Saucier + Perrotte, which received a Governor General's Medal for Architecture for the design in May 2006. The Perimeter Institute is an independent research centre for theoretical physics, founded in 1999 by a generous donation from Mike Lazaridis, one of founder of the company, which created and manufactured the BlackBerry wireless handheld device.
