Photographer's Note
This photo was taken at the Toronto Zoo.
Sumatran tigers are critically endangered because of the loss of habitat due to the expansion of the human population, and the logging of forests. As well, the elimination of natural prey and the poaching for tiger parts are threats to survival.
Sumatran tigers are the smallest and darkest of the tigers. Massively built animal with a rounded head, a long muscular body with powerful limbs, especially the forelimbs and shoulders which enables them to overpower prey larger than themselves.

Excellent framing, the space below the tiger adds to the feeling of height and works great in this composition because of the diagonal line that can be drawn from the tiger's head and his claws down into the lower area. Well done.

Cool pic! Like Edwin says the framing is great, I love the empty space on the bottom. It's too bad you can't see his eyes though, and there are overly hot spots on the leaves.
Nice work!

Very good combo, maybe a little crop would make it even better, but the theme is so captive you just forget all about Photography 101 and you dazzle yourself by looking at it.
Great photo!
