Photographer's Note
There is not a single element of human presence on Earth more important to photography than...
THE FACE !
All of them !
The only other element that can be compared to the human faces is: The snow flake.
Billions of them and no two of them alike !
G.G.
........................
It's about time to explain my obsession with posting all these faces by yours truly…
Dear folks…
We all have some obsession about this or that…
Our presence on TE is more than enough of a proof of such…
What is exactly my obsession ?
You see… I want to obtain a proper balance for about one million of the posted faces from India !
Even we exclude a half of those faces (which were sleeping on the streets of Kolkata) - still a half of a million remains vigilant and observing me very closely from the monitor in my office.
Every time I startup my computer and go to TE - an Indian face jump on me without a warning.
Many a'many of these faces are awarded very heavily with the succulent and juicy green monkies ( due to the fact that majority of the members on TE have never seen in their life a photo with Indian face before).
So, here we are… Yet another non-Indian face on TE.
Only 499948 remains, waiting patiently for their turn.

So, so, so a fascinating face! But..because we don't know what that person has inside. A devil, an angel? And who knows? And this mystery is his great beauty. The mystery...YES!

Hi,
Dirty and grainy. Yeah! You bet! A formidable shot with the most delightful contrasts and incredible little details. The mouth, the wrinkles... Bingo!
I find your processing here absolutely extraordinary. Well, Polonaise like. With heart and a big soul... and very very crazy!
Have a great evening George.

PS: Great note, though tomorrow you just might be accused of racism.

Hello George,
I agree that there is no need to travel to far flung places to capture "the exotic", the "other".There are interesting faces and interesting people all around. And of course people don't have to be "other" to be interesting.Anyawy there is always something extraordinary in the ordinary, all you have to do is really look.I mean look at this woman, snazzy shades, dangly earrings...ordinary in a way but you wouldn't be able to find her in my small town. But if she did turn up here I have still a way to go to get such a shot.

My... One of your most striking portraits George. If ever a choice can be made amongst them...I say it every other day :-)))
I bow down to every single pixel of it, a tonality to die for, and those earrings...the bit of necklace, her, not silver, pure gold, from deep deep down. No two alike.
Love
Michèle
