Photographer's Note
The colours of Nova Scotia in the fall are something that have to be seen to be believed. The community of Ingonish is situated on the wild Atlantic coast of Cape Breton Island, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. I didn't photoshop the colours in this shot at all, this is really how it looked. Unfortunately, I did have to reduce the resolution to get under TE's 200kb limit, so it has lost some of the crisp focus of the original. I applied a bit of sharpening, but it's not the same.

I sympathise with you about the focus.
What you have are lovely colors, and the bright red leaves in the foreground. I wonder if you'd taken a shot with sharp focus on the red leaves, leaving the background to fade into a blur of colors, or at least a bit of a blur, it might have been more striking.
Whatever, it was a good shot, and I wish I'd been with you to take photos along that colorful trail.
