Photographer's Note
As I wrote, we missed our flight from Dubai to Warsaw (it was on Friday, 13th) and Emirates Airlines gave us free day in Dubai, luxury hotel with the three buffet meals. We went on a tour of the city, spent some time near the swimming pool but in the afternoon I wanted to see something more and I went for a walk. I hoped to see some mosques. I had no plan, just walked around. it is quite difficult to move in Dubai the street are highways and it is difficult to go on the other side. Anyway, I found smaller side streets and came to rather unexpected place - Irish Village.
The Village was designed using Irish craftsmanship and materials which were shipped to Dubai and reassembled on site, creating an authentic experience in the heart of the city. Even the paving stones came all the way from Liscannor in County Clare, on the west coast of Ireland. All props and décor items around The Village, from the telephone box down to the shop windows bric-a-brac, are genuine Irish pieces.
The Village terrace has been expanded over the years to satisfy Dubai patrons and can now accommodate up to 3500 people during special events and concerts. Famous performers have played at The Village: Sir Bob Geldof, Finbar Fury, The Human League, The Pretenders, Paolo Nutini, Macy Gray, The Wailers and Midge Ure to name just a few. Whether you decide to sit inside the traditional wooden pub or out on the terrace overlooking gardens and lake, let the traditional Irish music entertain you while sampling authentic meals served with a warm and friendly Irish smile – what better way of experiencing Ireland in Dubai!

Ciao Malgo,it's a good thing to loose the flight when the company gives a free stay in Dubai...eheh....perfect to visit something of original like this rish village,in effect it seems to be in Dublin execpt the arab writes in the WS,fantastic table made with vodka bottles as legs in the other WS. Perhaps not quite what I had expected to find in Dubai, but it looks like a nice refuge for expats in need of a drink and a relaxed environment. The pond provides nice reflections. The funniest photo is the WS of the table. It seems to be the best way to store alcoholic drinks in a strict Muslim country, in a place where the bottles can't be opened. I see they had chosen a Swedish brand rather than a Polish vodka. ;-)

This must have been a huge surprise!
It is surprising how many Irish bars can be found all around the world!
I wonder if you were allowed drink Guinness here!
There is definitely no chance of getting the vodka from the bottles!
I like how you have shown the 'Irish' ambience so nicely reflected in the lake.
The greenery of the Emerald Isle certainly has been recreated here!

I don't think many people would guess correctly that this photo was taken in Dubai, if they were asked. A very nice piece of Ireland, attractively located near the water, which reflects and distorts the surroundings so nicely. The colours are bright and well-saturated.

Also your picture is wonderful with the reflections of the blue sky in water.
Colours and sharpness are perfect to look at.

Your main picture is surely very colourful.
Yes, the legs of the table look a bit misplaced. Moreover, I fear that the emirs are mistaken about the drink ... Ireland has other drinks to be proud of.
Anyway, a funny experience in the Emirats.
