A sharp and lively capture of daily life in Istanbul...A busy but successful composition and perfect exposure.

In response the kyzer, the man is selling simit. It is kind of a bagel like snack with sesame seeds. It goes well with a cup of tea in the afternoon.

Additional comments: After looking at this shot again, I appreciate that it represents the diversity of culture and dress in Istanbul: The lady with her back turned to the camera is in a headscarf, floor length skirt (but a fairly tight one) however in a publicly affectionate pose with the man next to her, usually frowned upon amongst the pious. The lady holding the boy's hand is in a long and loose garb with full coverage headscarf, more conservative. Many of the women are in modern dress, including an older lady in a mini skirt in the foreground!
