Photographer's Note
I wanted to capture the immense interior space, as well as the wonderful light. I did this by using a wide angle (28mm), including people in the background, looking very small under the dark chandeliers hanging so far below the central dome. I like the old faded frescoes, echoing from past ages and uses of this of this fantastic Byzantine structure.

david, sorry to tell that but this is a weak picture of the place; the opportunities the place gives have not been used by yourself at all: poor quality, poor lighting and the composition is not interesting at all; i think the other pics of yours are by far better that this one; pitty

Ayasofya is much more interesting place, the colours, light and the composition does not reflect the huge imazing building.
