Photographer's Note

Originally it was built as a church by Constantinus, and then later rebuild in 532 by Emperor Justinian I. At the fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Turks it was converted to a mosque.
In 1934 it was made into a museum by Kemal Pasha. Some says it was a wise move to avoid a tug of war between Muslim and Christian.

You can see in this picture it has both a mimbar(a place for Muslim priest do his mass) and a mosaic with christian symbol on the top of the dome.
