Loneliness is one of life’s most miserable experiences, everyone feels lonely sometimes and under jealoues gazes or thoughts of them, some people don’t… Is there a message for us in loneliness? Is there a way we can turn it into something positive?
I don’t think so, loneliness is loneliness and it is not something to be turned into something else… It is a temporary condition that departs in a few hours or a couple days. But when you're burdened with this emotion for weeks, months, or even years, it may be something different…
In a sense, loneliness is like a toothache: It's a warning signal that something is wrong. And like a toothache, if left unattended, it usually gets worse. But is there a cure for loneliness? Is there some secret elixir that will fix this toothache of the soul?
Some may say answer to loneliness is not the quantity of your relationships, but the quality of them. For many of us, improving our relationships with others and letting them get close to us is a distasteful cure, as dreaded as taking your toothache to a dentist.
On the contrary, a famous Turkish author, Özdemir Asaf, says: “Loneliness cannot be shared, if it is shared it is not loneliness anymore” …sorry for my poor translation… Loneliness may not be a state of mood to be cured, it may be a phase of soul which should be in great balance to counter part. Thus it may not be something to be shared, not a measure of relationships’ quality…

i like your choice of dof here, even though i think i would have 'made' the guy in front a tiny bit more visible

Hello Burcu,
Splendid effects with shallow focus and mirror. I liked a lot. I don't know who is this guy shooting while you are shooting too. Is he trying to steal your scene?
Seems you already got it fantastic taste of 50mm. I remembered mine, similar one with f/1.4 since two events, my hands are not moving any more to replace it.

Excellent daily life scene, very "natural" take, but at the same time, very atmospheric, like coming out of a movie! Perfect choice of b&w, great light managment in general! Excellent framing, very well "studied" composition, great focus and depth of field! Congratulations!

fotografina ve adına bakinca "yalnizlik ömür boyu" diyesim geldi:)
bence 50 mm ile harika bir deneme.. az gonderiyorsun ama öz gonderiyorsun.. sen yine de sık gonder de, gozumuz gonlumuz acilsin diymi ama?
ifadeler, mekan ve kadraj yerlesimin cok guzel.. Korkut ta ugrasiyor arkada.. üstteki isikli kismi yani lambann basladigi yerden itibaren kesseymissin keske.. biraz patlamis, hem de böylece ondeki cocugun bugulu bakislari daha cok on planda olabilirdi diye dusunuyorum ben sahsen:)
ben de kiskandim 50 mm denemelerini sanirsam:))
bu arada ikimizde asker ocagina gitmisiz:) pek sevindim, yarin bi duyayim sesini.. opuyorum cok..

Korkut'un "ondeki oglan is another story" lafina acayip guldum:))) fotografa ilk baktigim anda aklimdan gecen ayni seydi!sanirim o olmasa fotograf daha bir romatik olacakmis gibi geldi bana.

Bu kare nasılsa gözümden kaçmış ! Çok keyifli bir siyah beyaz çalışma olmuş. Arka plandaki aynadaki görüntüler çok değişik bir lezzet katmış kareye.
