Is considered one of the bigger masterpieces of Islamic architecture worldwide and his architect existed [Sentefchar] Mehmet [Aga] (Sedefhar Mehmet Ağa) student of [Mimar] [Sinan]. Was the pane manufactured between 1609 and 1616 with order of sultan [Achmet] [A]'? - from that it took also his name when this was in age of 20 years. It is found in the older department of Istamboul, near the locality of ancient Hippodrome ([At] [Meintani]), and opposite (westwards) from Saintly Wisdom. Is also very near t o [Topkapi], place of stay of Sultanas of Ottoman Empire up to 1853, that is afterwards Saint Sofia, Easternly, on the European coast of Bosporus. For somebody that sees the beach from the sea, the domes and the minarets of Blue pane next to Saint Sofia they dominate in the view of Istamboul. This pane was manufactured in the centre of south-western side of hippodrome deliberately opposite from Saintly Wisdom, so as to it dominates at the approach of boats. The manufacture of this building so much had thanked the young Sultan that is said that also the himself worked for his construction. Unfortunately however for himself the Sultan it did not anticipate is glad a lot this resplendent building because his death one hardly time afterwards the opening of his doors. Of course, has been buried in t o pane. Today, also the two buildings comprise a unique historical and architectural total. Did the pane become acquaintance in the West as "? Blue [Tzami]"? because the sovereignty of blue colour in his internal decoration. Nevertheless, the blue colour was not part of initial decoration of pane and in our days has begun his process of abstraction. Today, the pane does not give particularly the impression blue in the visitors. The architect of [Achmet] of [A] had received command does not feel sorry no expense, so that it creates the most impressive and beautiful place of adoration of Islam in the world. Of course the Sultan had ordered, front he leaves for Mecca, is manufactured the cupola from clean gold. This naturally could not happen reason of weight of gold. The architect then manufactured the cupola with simple materials, while in order to he saves his life he added also 6 minarets round the Pane, justified in the Sultan that existed victim of misapprehension, (number six, ([alti]) and the word gold ([altin]) is said almost the himself in Turkish)! The basic structure of pane is roughly cubic, 53 on 51 metres. As it happens with the all panes, he is thus directed in order that when faithful make their prayer they are turned to Mecca.
