A nice daily shot. Everyone is captured out and about doing their own thing (the man with the briefcase, the one with something on his shoulder, the other with a bag of groceries, the two talking in the middle and these two women in front looking at something). It's reality. It's also a nice contrast between this drab concrete area in the foreground and the magnificent mosques in the background. The black and white helps create that modern drab atmosphere that overpowers the magnificent buildings of the past.
