If you look at him directly its just that there's a large face in HIS left shoulder is watching back at you (reliëfs in the wooden wall).
Nice captured picture of a man I bet is very interesting.
There's a little to much black above his left eye, in my opinion.
Great shot anyway.

Hello Salvator, your title of this picture is: old and angry....I think, this isn't right....he is old, sure, but on his face, there's a little smile...for me, he doens't look angry in anyway..

Sevgili Salvator, cok guzel bir portre calismasi bu. Kadraj gayet guzel. S/B secimi son derece dogru olmus. Klasik karadenizli yasli insan portresi. Tum sicakligina ragmen sert fotografi cekilirken sert bakisi ondandir. :) Ellerine gonlune saglik. Tebrikler.

amcanın pozu, üstü başı, arka plan ve siyah beyaz seçimi iyi... yanlardaki blur ve aşırı kontrast biraz rahatsız edici hakikaten mam sonuçta hoş bir portre olmuş yine de... selam:)

This had the makings of a great portrait Salvator, but unfortunately I think you've spoiled it by the excessive PP you employed. The blur around the edges of the frame is truly hideous, and it beats me why you chose to add it.
The contrast is too high, and the shot is also over-exposed with noticeable burn-out on the man's face, especially noticeable on his beard. That could be a result of the overly boosted contrast though.
It's a shame, because you had a great subject here, and I like the strong direct eye contact and the expression that you captured on his face.
Next time, try to hold back on the PP, especially that horrible blurry effect which is the main thing that detracts heavily from this shot.

Hi Salvator,
Impressive portrait! It looks like an old photo, except for the zipper on his blouse. It would be even better if you had managed to avoid the over exp on the face, but that also enhances the antique mood, so it isn't very bad.

This is a god portrait I would say VERY GOOD ! I try to imagine how it would be better, and I cannot find defects except perhaps the side blur which is very visible. You didn't need it at all. The BW suits it well too. One day I'll join you in these Garipce trips. I have been there quite a few years ago.
