Photographer's Note
My first post from a trip to see the Nabataeans Tombs at Madain Saleh in the northern part of Saudi Arabia.
The pictured tomb is Qasr Farid, the most famous one.
A wonderful trip, without comparison the most interesting and beautiful place I have seen here in KSA.
The area around AL-Ula is also much more green than what I have seen previous here, a lot of plantations, and not only the usual date palms, here they had olives and citrus trees as well.
And then of course these amazing tombs, the Nabataeans were the same people who built the famous tombs in Petra, Jordan 2000 years ago.

Hello Harry!
What a great sharpnes, I guess this is the great 40D and the right L Lense! I love the combo of these two things. :-)
The colors of your image are very intensive and the POV is great chosen.
Ver nice sky, too.
You´ve chosen the right camera :-)
Have an ice sunday,
Kris

No idea they had something like this in KSA. Surprised they have kept it intact. I like the pov that juxtaposes the tomb and the distant jagged peaks. Contrast with the blue sky is also nice. Regards,
Hakan

Salaam Harry,

Hi harry, I didnt know whether to chppse from the state-of-the-art Dubai skylines that you have posted or this fabulously rich natural terrain though after a while I settled for this. The capture is marvellous and superbly handled with such striking tones and hues

Harry,
Wow, It really looks like Monument Valley and many parts of Utah landscape. if not for the structure carved out of this gigantic rock I would have for sure think it's somewhere in Utah. Fantastic blue sky, contrasting so well against these red rocks. Once again, not many of us can see such a sight with our own eyes, Thanks for bright it to us. Amazing structure within the rock with good detail and texture. Good idea to include some of the background landscape to show us the surrounding. It also gives some depth to the image and more interesting composition. Thanks again for showing this rarely seen place.

Hello Harry
This is amazing! Superb colours, sharpness & technicalities. The framing is excellent. But that's not all, it's about this place, which I had no idea at all. I really appreciate your post & note. Excellent post!
