Photographer's Note
This is not a zoo pic., those Karameri-Parrots , also known as Derrara's are inhabiting in an increasingly numbers of places in Israel , conquering territories, mostly around water reservoirs: Here on an Eucalyptus tree near the Yarkon-River bank.
I took this from a 5m distance with a zoon extracted, so tree's leaves could not be in focus.
Read more on those Parrots.

Hello Ike,
very fine picture of this two parrots (no zoo pic! ...its important to explain that detail, because it is not easy to catch birds in nature).I like the picture very much and I have published today especially for you a similar picture of a seagull.TFS.

Hi Ike,
The leaves are helping to frame the parrots. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the karameri parrots. The morning light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello
Very good picture of parrots in a hollow tree, probably with the young chicks. Interesting shot through the blurry branches. Great colors and excellent sharpness.

Joseph
בוקר טוב. מאוד תמונה טובה של תוכים עץ חלול, ככל הנראה עם בחורות צעירות. מעניין ירה מבעד לענפים מטושטשת. נהדר צבעים וחדות מעולה. בברכה.

Hello Ike,
These small parrots are exactly the same or the Agapornus, I've one Agapornus here in my house.
This is perfect taken, I find nice the leaves little but blur, exactly the focus on the parrots is very well.
Composition and presentation are nice for look at.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Ike,
Wonderful picture with these two beautiful parrots, a composition with a lot of chromatic harmony, because those touches of green leaves in the color range of the birds contrasts with the soft background color of the tree.
Best regards.
Luis.

Hello Ike
Those blurred leaves seem to protect the privacy of an important discussion about the priority for getting in the nest! "Be polite....ladies first".
Stunning behaviour, indeed and lovely birds.
Shalom.

Good evening Ike!
You must be the king of birdwatching on TE. Each time I come onto your gallery, there is always a new bird photo waiting for me, for my greatest delight !
I love the composition of this one with the pair watching their nest in the tree trunk!
I also like the way their colour match the blurred foliage! ! The blur is very effective , putting the accent on the parrots at the same time as partly hiding them.
A great capture !
Kind regards.
Marie Louise.

Hello Ike,
The image leads me to believe they are hatching in hollow trees, that is new to me!
Good focus on the birds that isolates them well in between the foliage, lovely colour reproduction...

Hello Ike,
What a pretty shot! These parrots are awesome The green color is so pleasant to look at. A little bit of blur looks very nice. A very difficult situation but very nice results. Excellent composition.

Hello Ike
A great lover for parrots I must comment that your beautiful photos that even if taken at a distance .... is very beautiful. The parrots seem to be put in place for their picture and remind me that I had two in the garden even if Italy is not their habitat. Nice photo Ike,thank you a lot. I wish you a good and sunny day. ... Marino

It's a pretty touching image Ike, the male protects the nest carved in a eucalyptus tree trunk, the female is going to enter inside of the hole where I guess it has eggs

Hello Ike,
This must be a regional event, last time I was in Turkey, I saw similar parrots and I was told they were rumored to have escaped from a shipment of parrots involved in an accident. So the birds of the New World are invading the Cradle of Civilization!
Regards,
MT
PS. Yes, the church steeple you critiqued is made out of wood. Americans use a lot of wood in construction. It must be the availability of wood that makes it the preferred material for construction.
PPS. If you think 55 - 65 % humidity is too much, try 83 %. But today, I was in a cold, air-conditioned building all day long.
