You have isolated this lovely bird nicely from the background, which provides context but remains unobtrusive. The diagonally bough brings a sense of dynamism to the composition. Pleasing natural colours and very good clarity.

dear Ike,
a beautiful shot of lovely bird = Turdus Merula,
Turdus Merula is called Kuro-Utadori (=Tugumi) in Japanese,
its black body and yellow beak are characteristic, and surely its voice is like singing,
in this shot its figure is well captured in bright condition,

Hello Ike, This is a most unusal looking bird. I don't think we have any of these here. Nice composition and very colorful looking. The two you posted on Nature were also great. Guess you are what we call a birder. I have taken some, but I really need a more powerful lens, unless I can get real close. Regards, Roger

Your bird gallery delights me, as I love learning about new species in different countries.
Good bokeh here, with the bird matching its background!
I looked in my book though, and our "Turdus Merula" is our common blackbird. The male is completely black with a yellow beak, and the female is completely brown, including the beak.
I would have thought that yours being different would have had another latin name?

This had happened to me and is a spectacular bird with that color in the head and beak that seems to be wearing a mask. An image that you have been very clear and very nice colors and light.
