Photographer's Note

This bired is known in Hebrew and Arabic as "Siksak", it's scientific name: "Vanellus spinos"
It is a 23 to 29 cm tall, length of wing 19 to 20.5 cm each, wingspan 70 to 80 cm and weighing 100 to 170 grams. It's big eyes indicating a good sense of sight. Location of eyes on the sides of the head gives them a visual field wide, even when the beak stuck in the mud in search of food.
Also interesting: their ears fixed a forward position relative to many other birds, giving them the ability to hear well the animals crawling on the ground.
They usually live in pairs . Not much of a difference between male and the female.
