Photographer's Note
The Barn Swallow, is a very swift bird, always restless. A forked tail it's trademark. The upper body bright blue – black, with long crescent- wings.
No color differences between male and female
Bird size: Body length 19-16 cm and for about 7cm plumbry- tail , weighing 20.5 to 17.5 grams, 34.5 to 32 cm wing span.
They usually comes as couple, and I think that here it was guarding their nest from safe distance.

really the Barn swallow is well captured sitting and resting on the wire.I like the clarity and the sharpness of the image as the way that outlined against the blue sky.

Hello Ike, Great shot of this barn swallow. I haven't seen one in years. They were all over in Iowa when I lived there as a youngster. They are fun to watch and they are very interesting to see them flying on a golf course catching insects. Good job. Brings back memories. Regards, Roer

The diagonal line of the wire is an asset to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the barn swallow. It is clear and sharp. The late afternoon light has agood effect on the colors. Have a nice day.
