Hello Ike, Well I am out of synch in my critiques and postings but here goes.
Great looking parrot in this very interesting looking tree or bush. Good backlighting with the blue sky. So you are going to have more of these parrots as time goes by. Do they have any enemy, besides man. Other birds or foxes etc? We have had many creatures introduced to the USA and they have been a problem for the most part with their reproduction. The branches are framing well the parrot. The point of view is showing with precision the details and colors of the Karameri parrot. The late afternoon light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

I understand you couldn't resist taking this photo! The conditions were perfect to get a good composition with great colours as well!
The parrot is well-positioned on the branches to the left, against the pure blue sky!
This bird must be very decorative in your environment! Just a pity it encroaches on other birds'territory!

Hello Ike,
The last few times I went to Istanbul, I saw these parrots flying around my sister's house which is right next door to Emirgan Park. There are various stories as to how they got there, but the fact is that these foreign species are surviving even in Germany now. This photo is a nice document of this recent phenomenon.
