Photographer's Note
A 5 time magnified than it's natural size of 3cm +/-, this small white-Beach-Crab (I did not find it's scientific name), spoted while strolling on the Poleg-beach south of Netanya. See map.
Years ago those crabs where common all over - but I did not see this kind for the last 30 or so years - and probably exist on a off-urban's beachs.
They dig small holls in the sand and hide there, at first I saw the holes - than search for them...

Hello Ike,
A well captured shot of this little crab. I like the white color and the beautiful spots on its body. The details are well shown here. The colors of the sand are almost the same as the crab's. Frankly, I am afraid of these little creatures. I appreciate them only in pics.

Regarding colours, this very small animal is perfectly adapted to its natural habitat.
