Photographer's Note

For over a year i have been waiting for the right conditions so i could take a walk into Borthwood Copse and get some misty sunbeams!
As i walked down through the dark forest there were random little beams of sunlight making golden patches on the forest floor.
After 10 minutes of walking i came to a clearing in the trees and then i just stood in awe of the stunning scene in front of me!
I spent over an hour in the forest taking various shots, and just relaxing, listening to the birds singing and squirrels scuttling about up in the trees.
Which photo do you prefer, this one or http://www.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=962516 that one?
Your opinions would be great!

Superb shot Jamie;
I don't know how you did it.. I've never seen such well defined rays of light- if I didn't know better I'd have thought they were painted in. Excellent composition with the sun in a good spot. Overall balance of the shot is impressive considering what imagine was a contrasty scene.
Well done!

Hi Jamie,
Your patience has definitely paid off! This photo is lovely. I prefer this photo because of the position of the light.
It must be a lovely place to relax, on the few days that is sunny anyway!

Hi Jamie, a stunning photo! Sunlight coming through the brances gave a magic effect, and the green colour of the trees is so lively.
