Photographer's Note
Taken at the incredible Stair Hole next to Lulworth Cove in Dorset. The geology in this place is truly awe inpsiring. This is one of several sea arches where the action of the sea has bored holes into the hard rock. Eventually this place will become another bay like Lulworth Cove, and even further along the line it will merge together with Lulworth to form one huge bay.

hello Adam,
This is just mindblowing..!! the pattern on the rock is looking so good and the effect created on water due to slow shutter speed has come out excellent..apart from very nice colours and compo..!!
thanks a lot for sharing this..!!

Hi Adam,
incredible it is...and you caught it beautifully, with that frozen water effect, the composition is great too, rocks in the foreground leading to the structure, colours so natural and overall sharpness. Superb.

Hello Adam,
Just discovering your fantastic gallery... really great !
This one is gorgeous. Although maybe the light is not the best one can dream of, you managed this image perfectly. Usage of the wide angle with a very good foreground makes it a superb image.
Have a nice week-end.
Best regards, Christian

Hello Adam,
Les plissures du terrain forment de jolis centre d'intérêt ici ! L'avant plan est bien accrocheur et permet de rentrer dans l'image de très belle manière ! Seul regerz, le manque de lumière direct qui aurait donné un très belle touche à l'image !
Bien vu !

I like this wide angle image, for its colors, and the blurred waves, which give a nice sense of motion. Very sharp too. Excellent.

Hi Adam. A great photo that works on a number of levels. First it's pictorially excellent - very interesting and detailed, lots of interest. Secondly, it's a fascinating insight into sedimentary rock formations on England's Jurassic coast. Beautiful and educational - the perfect TE shot. Regards, Paul.

Not only is this a beautiful shot, but this also shows the cause of some of these formations we are looking at - because of the water and the rocks shown at the same time. The rocks and especially the arch are very dramatic, and the moving water provides a nice visual contrast with the rocks. Well done!

great shot of this nice geological scene
Mayby I would have cut off some of the underside, generating a panoramic view, stressing more on the folded rock.

Wonderful textures in these rocks. I like the folds in these BG rocks. I found something similar in Death Valley this year. I like the inclusion of the rock in the lower left corner to keep our eyes in the image.
Well done Adam.

Wow Adam, this shot has just about everything I admire in a photograph / photographer: excellent control of shutter speed, management of light, capture of truly freaky texture in the rocks and colour saturation, interesting low POV, sharpness and a beautiful brooding sky. Man, this is just about the best I've seen - I'd give it more than 2pts if I could, congrats, Lisa.
