Photographer's Note
Who said blue and green should never be seen. I actually think they go together very well.
Taken just before dawn on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset

Very colourful - lots of detail in the foreground rocks to keep the viewer occupied, and the early morning light is good too.

Perfect for me !

Like in your earlier post of this beach, the green beards of the rocks immediatly catched my eyes. They almost seem to glow under this cold blue sky. I really like the foreground and the upper left 2/3rds, but I think the dark part on the top right feels a bit heavy. But what do I know :-) Still a wonderful image overall.

Super shot Adam. Great clarity and I love the green seaweed on the pebbles - you're right it does go with blue!

Isn't it red and green Adam? I could more than happily write in praise of every image you post here - you are undoubtably one of the best landscape and water (sea/coast/lakes) photographers here......I am usually more than happy just to look and enjoy at length the work you share here...it would be boring for me to write the same sorts of things ad infinitum - the sharp, detailed foregrounds, the great depth of field and your mastery of light and colour just excite the sense every day.
I love coastal walking but now living so far inland it's a much rarer occurence - so thankyou such wonderful images to vicariously experience such beautiful places.

Hello, Adam--
Wow... i think that maybe i will never consider ever saying that blue and green don't go together ever again. This is great, using the soft light to saturate the colors wonderfully, and letting the powerful foreground take up the entire front of the frame, pushing the waterline back such that it exits the line on the left vertical of the frame. i think what helps the blue and green work so well together is your placement of the warmer green in the front, letting the colors cool off as they go back in the frame in a very natural fashion.
Thanks!

The shape and texture of the stones is beautiful, all those round shapes combining to give an incredible feel to this. When you place the colours on top of that then you get something very special. Wonderful piece of work!

Hi, Adam. A fantastic foreground with these algae covered pebbles. The shoreline undulates nicely through the picture. Very good light and colours.

I love the velvety moss on the rocks. Overall you have perfect detail without aggravating sharpness, as is found on may other heavily processed images here. It's almost like a medium/large format shot. I have to apologize but there's not much else constructive I can say here. The balance between foreground and background is just right, the longer shutter speed has blurred the water nicely but not so much as to turn it white.
Did you try a portrait format as well?
Ron.

Hi Adam,
These colours do indeed look superb together. There are many things I like about this photo, but one of my favourites is the detail visible
in the hairy, green rocks.
Another masterpiece!
