Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
I'm not sure if the festivities in the U.K. have been reported in other countries but there have been many, happy parties to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee.
Two days holiday were added to the weekend so we had four days of festivities.
Many streets and gardens were decorated with bunting and flags, with others boasting images of the Queen. Street parties and hat parades were held, too.
In our village we had street parties, a huge car boot sale with cakes, drinks, and Asian food on sale. Monies raised were donated to flower displays in the village.
The official celebrations in London were amazingly well co-ordinated with the Platinum Show taking place outside Buckingham Palace, the lights and pictures streamed onto the palace walls.
My photograph shows some of the bunting decorating a garden in the village.
I will add a few other photographs as workshops.

Hi Bev,it is very nice what was done in your village, with flags and also a charitable collection of money, but obviously it has nothing to do with the London pomp that even the Italian news broadcasts have talked about for a long time, too bad for the health of the Queen who could not celebrate in the best way, however congratulations for what you have done, carefree days of celebration, beautiful WS with many flowers and flags.Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Hello Bev,
Three nice pictures that could basically all have been main photos. There are a number of diagonals and a fine glimpse of a building in the background that make this the most pleasant composition. Next year the Swedish King will celebrate 50 years in "power" (he has no power at all), but I doubt there will be celebrations even near the present level in the UK.

Hello Beverley, and what a weekend it was! Your village certainly went 'to town', with a very colourful display including the red, white and blue.
The beautiful stone house in the background is a lovely alternative focal point.

Those flags in addition to spring flowers make a joyful view. This looks very British indeed! 70 years as a queen is certainly remarkable, and two days holiday is always worth celebrating! I also had two extra (unpaid) holidays and visited The Netherlands. There I saw celebrations on BBC in my hotel room before sleeping. In Finland Jubilee was noted but didn't reach the front pages.

it is a special event and I saw something of it on TV news. even in your homeland far from london the event is important and well celebrated. I presume many people don't like the royal family too.I remember my Scottish guide hated the queen. hahaha. nice these three images registering this historical moment. the queen in a symbol of UK, I presume when she is gone forever things will be harsh for monarchy.

There was plenty of coverage here but not necessarily much interest. Our new Prime Minster has appointed a Minister for the Republic. I would guess the Charles won't get to be king of Australia for long.

I was in London two weeks ago, so I saw the preparations for this very special jubilee.

I saw a little bit of the festivities on TV this weekend. Reaching 70 years is just incredible! This is a very nice and colourful photo to show a bit of the festivities. The flags in the summer garden look great!

There was a bit about the Jubilee celebrations on the news here, but not as much as I thought there would be. I like this simple view from the village. The bunting looks nice beside the stone house, and all the colorful flowers are lovely, too. Take care!

Yes, television in Spain dedicated extensive reports to the Platinum Jubilee, as for the photos they have the festive air that the pennants give it, which together with the beauty and color of the flowers give a beautiful chromaticism to the beautiful garden.
A beautiful composition, with great colors, splendid light and the sharpness is excellent with fine details.
