Photographer's Note
A reminder of days when the sun was shining and walking on the coastal path was easy.
This unusual pool is very close to Trevone Bay. Someone in the past must have created the walls which would naturally trap seawater, and allow people to swim safely away from the rocks.
Trevone is a seaside village between Padstow and Harlyn, North Cornwall.
The village consists of a long road that leads down to the bay, home to a sandy beach that is policed by lifeguards in the summer.
The Bay is a SSSI, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, as well as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Hi Jean,a really nice memory of early summer, this small village is very picturesque. All the photos are top but I really like the WS with the path next to the fields with the long perspective that ends on the beach. Hello Jean,
Yes, this must have been man made, and what a good idea it was. Not only does this pool allow safer swimming, but it also makes photos nicer. The artificial sides makes the pool a better focal point in this scenery of rocks and water, but they also attract people who animate the view. Both workshop photos are nice complements from the area and all photos are very nicely taken.

Hello jean, For me, the last hours of summer just now , haha. Interesting place with this natural swimming pool. Great place for swimming, but I am afraid that for me thw ater would be too cold.

Hello Jean,
A beautiful view of the rocks and the blue sea. You divided the composition very well between the two parts. That rocky island in the distance is also a nice detail and the people add a good sense of scale.

Hello Jean,
Wonderful weather in June in Cornwall! The sea, the rocks and their colours look like on the pictures Mariusz took on the island of Crete :)
Beautiful man made swimming pool filled with sea water. I've only once seen a similar pool on Madeira.
I like the second photo in the WS very much.
It shows the town very well in its wonderful natural surroundings. Composed in a very attractive way!

Without reading the note or location I immediately thought that this has to be Cornwall. Good sharpness and the Mediterranean colors of the water are evident here. Looks a bit like the Sorrento rockpools on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. Tfs!

This looks like one for Australia as in the highlands where I live summer has finally arrived. A great looking ocean pool and a good photo with great detail and water colour, especially in the large view.

A natural pool made by the rocks and water for million of years, and people added concrete boundry for safrer swimming there.
Wonderful blue & turquoise water colors with grey rocks in superb outlines.

Wonderful place in the middle of rocks. That pavement separates a pool from the sea, but still there's a rocky bottom. So it doesn't look at all artificial. Good to see all the people there adding life.

on a day like this, even a phone can take a spectacular photo!
The colors are fantastic. Very interesting rock formations. Presence of people allows us to better appreciate the scale!

Wonderful coastal landscape, with all these rocks that form natural pools, without a doubt it is an ideal place for swimming, without the sticky sand on the beaches, ideal for the variety of colors in the rocks and in the sea.
Ideal also the landscapes of the WS.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.

I'm watching Rick Stein's Cornwall on BBC at the moment, of course Padstow featured along the route. Beautiful detail rich image which fills me with warmth and longing for summer.
