Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
This photograph was not what I had intended, today, but on opening the curtains ... a white wonderland greeted me, quite unlike the scene when I had closed the curtains. The temperature had dropped and it was bitterly cold.
Like Pavle, I was inspired to take a photograph from my window.
This scene is looking out onto my garden; whilst as a workshop, I will show you the scene from my front window. It is not that clear but small snow flakes were falling rapidly.
I was unsure which to use as my main shot but, the female pheasant, searching for food, was enough to convince me!
After this, I went out and spread seeds for the hungry birds!
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
Through the window with a lovely result
Birds and bench with a little bit snow makes your picture attractive, without much cover a distance.
**Today we get also a little bit snow, not to make nice pictures. **
Very clear and superb of sharpness.
We see almost all details
Very well done, TFS
Best regards,
John.

Hello Bev,
I would be very surprised to find a pheasant outside my window. I am quite happy to see, and hear, a blackbird now and then, even sometimes in the winter. I can see that it's not a real cat standing on the wall in the background, but is it a real bird with the bright chest? This view would normally be "nothing special", but Ms Pheasant makes it special.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
The snow on the ground can be impressive. The point opf voew is showing the details of your garden and of the pheasant. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.

Hi Bev
Firstly, the falling snow is indeed visible!, especially on darker background. It's a lovely winter garden scene but the pheasant makes it even more special, a bit like a Dutch painting.
What food do you put out for pheasants? I'm interested as they visit my Mum's garden as well.
Best wishes
Kasia

Hello beverley,
A beautiful bird greeted you on first sight this morning. Is this a pheasant? Never saw one alike.
The snow environment looks attractive, but only from the warmth inside, the outside is too cold...
Good afternoon,

Hi Bev,a really good show this morning at your house! I really like the view from your bedroom in the WS, while the garden offered some nice surprises. I see a robin on the left, and it's really a surprise to see a pheasant brave enough to come so close to home ... if she'd come to me she'd be in the pan already ... ahaha ...Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Beverley, it makes me shiver just looking at these two pictures!
Taken through glass, it's hard to tell, I wouldn't have known if you hadn't said.
The female pheasant makes a nice focal point; she is waiting for some food I guess.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Beverley,
Large parts of Europe seem to be having lots of snow, but most of The Netherlands hasn't seen a single flake yet (but at least the sun is back :-)). Lovely view of the garden with the pheasant as a great bonus. I like how you captured the falling snow as well.

Hello Bev, You have beautiful views from your windows and with snow it looks magical. But in fact, I do not miss snow now and I am a bit adfrqid how it will be in a few days in Poland, they foresee minus 19 degree!. Lovley view of the hungry pheasant . I had also a pheasant in my garden, but only once.
Best regrads MAlgo

Hello Bev
This is most definitely hot chocolate or hot tea weather! The cat and bird sculpture at left add focal points. I hope the pheasant found a tasty morsel to eat. Nice motion blur of the falling snow. Tfs!

Hi Bev
Absolutely the correct choice for the main photo and that looks like snow on the pheasants back. In the large view we can see more clearly the snow falling.
cheers

Hi Bev,
You have a lovely backyard. And this time you had a chance to show it in less than usual conditions. Falling snow is well visible and the pheasant is a nice surprise. During the last year there has been quite a few shots through home windows (including four of mine)!

We just received our first shower of snow this afternoon. You show as a nice winter scene through your window but its the pheasant that undoubtedly steals the scene,
