Photographer's Note

I have seen on social media a lot of banners which encourage people to stay at home to prevent spreading the Coronavirus. I fully agree that the isolation is the way to go and I think British government acted too slow in this regard. However, promoting isolation, and social distancing does not have to be equivalent with staying at home. I suppose it depends on your way of life. In the North East England, not many people rely on public transportation. There are a lot of beautiful open spaces around like amazing gardens, wide secluded beaches, moors, forests, etc. Quite often when I go for a walk with my family, we don’t meet many people at all. In my opinion you don’t have to stay at home as long as you are mindful of other people.

For the first day of spring I decided to go to Brimham Rocks (in this photo). I have been there previously exactly 5 years ago. It is a beautiful place with extraordinary rock formations. Sadly, in spite of a great weather forecast we encountered again an overcast with terrible light, hence some enhancement was necessary here. I really have to visit this place again, hopefully sooner than in 5 years time.
