Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
Sometimes, the light is just right and what you see reflected in a window is a mirror image of the reality.
That happened when we visited Eyemouth.
I couldn't believe my luck, as a lady pushing a pram walked into the scene!
In the reflection you will also be able to see many fishing boats and yachts, the old Smugglers' House at the right and a turreted dovecote in the centre.
Have a great weekend, Bev :-)
We are just preparing for Storm Desmond which we hope won't cause as much damage as Storm Ciara!

Hello Beverley, the storm is doing its thing as I write.
I misread your note thinking that this was a view through the window, not the reflection!
The quality of the reflection is excellent.
Five framed pictures which add up to an interesting whole.
The angle is just right, and very good timing as the woman walked past.
Hope that you stay dry.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Bev,
It's not immediately easy to see if this view of the boats and the yellow lady is a reflection or seen through the windows. The distortions are totally negligible. I wonder what kind of view you could have captured by just turning around and taking an "ordinary" photo. Whatever the result of that, in this view we sort of get five separate pictures of different motifs. Much more convenient than making workshops- ;-)
Best wishes,
Gert

Hello Bev
A creative composition and it was worth experimenting with this slightly different pov. Good sharpness and fantastic reflections. The woman walking past with the yellow raincoat animates the scene. Tfs!

Ohh, WOW, that's a reflection par-excellence, Beverley.
I am speechless, as I though this was a view through the window before reading the note.
Fantastic photojob, cheers,
Ike

Hi Bev,
the combination of EYE and MOUTH in one word is somehow funny. Nice harbour composition with a tower appearing on the hill in the distance.
Very creative composition, well spotted!
Some sources say the new storm may be even worse.
I am expecting grandma coming over tomorrow morning -I hope the flights won't get cancelled.. I have read hundreds of flights were cancelled already...
I wish us a calm night :)

Hello Beverley,
Fantastic reflections! They look so nice and clear and they show the many sailboats in the harbour in the square castle tower so well. Also the lady adds a nice splash of yellow, good timing.

PS - Do they call this storm Desmond in the UK? Here it's called Dennis, I thought the idea behind this silly name-giving was to use the same names everywhere in Europe. Last week's storm was also called Ciara in NL. Anyway, as far as I'm concerned we quit naming storms straight away again (we have never done that before here), especially since Storm is sometimes used as a boy's name in Dutch anyway. Good luck with the Desmond, hope he'll behave.
