Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
I hope you are not getting bored of my trip around 'untouristy' London.
Today, I will take you along the Thames Path heading towards Vauxhall Bridge. The weather was quite grey early on but I was still eager to record the journey.
As you can see, the path is coved in places but has wide arches through which you can see the Thames and the buildings across the river..
You will have to peer to the extreme left of the photograph to see the bridge, which we were intending to cross.
I have sequenced the photographs but, it is well worth looking at the workshops to discover a secret.
Have a good day, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
Again three interesting photos and again a good choice of main upload. The covered path creates a long perspective and through the arches we get a good view of this rapidly growing part of London. The person wearing red provides an additional focal-point. There's an interesting surprise in WS #1. I may not have noticed the statues unless you had pointed them out, and I am quite sure I didn't think of them when I was close to the bridge myself. I will have to take another look at my own photos. In WS #2 you did your best to compensate for the less favourable light.
Kind regards,
Gert
PS Yes, the statues were there in 2015 too!

Hello Beverley,
The rather dull sky couldn’t prevent you from making attractive compositions with a good view of the area in full development.
The statues of allegorical figures may have been placed on the bridge at a time when there still was more traffic on the river than over the bridge.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Bev,
***First: it's very dificult to dance on this additional dance evening.
Much tourists try to dance but have not follow danceschool, this is not easy for us, but we try between the great mass, and we have also pleasure.***
I like your picture with the bridge, technical perfect done.
Also, you main picture with arches and view about thee buildings and cranes.
Perspective is always very important to a picture.
Excellent done, TFS.
Kindest regards
John.

Hello Beverley,
Despite harsh outside light, managed fairly well the view under the arches across he Thames.
The WS's photos are nice complementary's to the area sights. There are many h idden corners in London, secrets...
Good afternoon,

Hello Beverley,
I vaguely remember this path, I believe I once walked there on a very cold January day. Isn't that the MI6 HQ in the background as well? You made good use of the arches, which add a great frame around the new modern buildings on the other side of the river.

Bonjour, chère Bev,
Bien vu le cadrage réalisé à travers ce passage sous couvert bénéficiant d'arches ouvrant sur la ville et ces tours impressionnantes.
Belle et bonne idée.
Amitiés.

Hi Bev
I do know this place! I'd walked along this path, by those arches many times, until I moved away from central London. But you're right, this is certainly not on most tourists' lists.
Good idea to include a person wearing bright clothes.
Have a nice weekend

Hello Bev,
Well, the light certainly didn't do you any favours on this day yet, nevertheless, you have managed to come away with a lovely little trio of photographs and have also given us a very interesting and educational note about those sculptures which grace Vauxhall Bridge, things of which I, for one, was totally unaware.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Beverley
It's a pleasantly exposed shot and I love the contrast between 'near and far' aspect of this. Seeing the whole waterfront thru the arches is quite enchanting though, and that guy in red is a vital contributor making this looks fluid with the foreground continue to provide interest leading into what's beyond. You have really caught so much detail and the colour scheme looks cool on the eye under such weather condition, Congrats.
Best regards

Hello Bev, Three interesting pictures from this embankment. Impressive constructions can be seen in the arch. i like most the view of the bridge from this perspective. And who could be the guy in red? :).

Hello Beverley,
Good sharpness and perspective with a pleasant, diffused light. The fg arch nicely frames the new highrise buildings under construction in the bg. Tfs!

Hi Bev
not getting bored of these at all, keep them coming, in fact there are a few I havn't even commented on yet. why not post something totally out of the box from here right? and especially when the sky and lighting are kinda poor. the dark arches are certainly the focal point, and they work well. I have to admit, I struggle taking photos when the sky is like this. and ya, i like the WS too hahaha. cheers

I liked more the images in the WS. the sculptures in the bridge can be lost while a fast crossing of the bridge, but from a boat trip would be fantastic. nice use of the arches with the city ahead.
take care
jorge
