Hello Lisa,
The colours and light and the very peaceful scenery, looking almost untouched, make this remind me very much of a 19th century romantic painting. Not bad for a 2016 photo.

Soft and warm backlight is indeed great. And that view is certainly picturesque. Curving river glows on backlight and everyhing around it is spring fresh and green.

L'acqua sembra oro fuso, neanche Goldfinger poteva immaginare un fiume così...

The light is very beautiful indeed and the colours make it look a bit like sepia, an artistic vision of reality rather than a picture of a real place. It could be Australia or somewhere else as the image captures universal quality of the landscape.

I had to take a second or third look when i found out this was taken in Scotland...i simply didn't believe it lol

well written note, this photo has a personal side to it and of course that makes it a thousand times better.

and you're right, I bet this scene was best viewed in person, no camera could do its justice. We'll just have to be jealous of you i guess :)

you do seem to capture a lot of peachy pink skies, how do you do that? really like the solitude of this place, i can feel my heartrate slowing and my BP lowering just viewing it, or perhaps thats the alcohol and pain killers lol

Yes, i'm going to Portugal in a few days, leaving April 20th, arriving 21st - so whats that, tomorrow for you? lol
I'll be flying into Porto right away, probably 3 days there. Then renting a car and driving down to Lisbon for perhaps 4 days. Then driving down to the Algrave for the rest of the trip. Won't have enough time to explore much of anything else as its only 12 days. But it'll be fun, its my first solo trip!

Hello Lisa,
A romantic natural scenery and very beautiful with the little curves of the river and the contours of the mountains on the horizon.
The trees stand out well against the bright yellowish light in the sky which is nicely reflected on the water surface.

Splendid image with a rare and beautiful light which you only can see if you have a lucky day. I understand that you say this photo doesn’t justice this incredible moment. This is light you must experience life and I suppose also the sound must be part of the scene.
