Photographer's Note

As I mentioned in my two previous notes, we woke up super early, about 3am, to drive from Eilean Donan to the Isle of Skye - and more specifically the Old Man of Storr.

Along the way this is some of the scenery you'll be met with, luckily for us the weather and climate was spectacular.

If you look closely, you can actually see The Old Man of Storr peaking up just behind the downslope of the landscape. We pulled the car over to the side of the road to capture this scene, the little boats in the lake were too much to pass up, as were the colors.

The photo could never ever do the real scene justice. It's a slow drive in, because most of the roads here are one lane only, you have to pull over to allow others pass by in the opposite direction.

You also have to watch out for animals on the
