Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

My photograph shows a small section of the village where I live, taken in January, when we had just had a light dusting of snow.

The fence follows an unmade road, probably little changed for many years, leading to a row of cottages and to the left of the cottages can be seen the zig-zagged roof of an old mill. The mill used to produce cotton cloth but such industries have long gone; the building is now used for storage and offices.

It is easy to see the surrounding fields. These lead towards the Yorkshire border and ultimately in the direction of the village of Haworth, so famous for its association with the Bronte sisters.

I wish you all a happy day, Bev :-)
