Photographer's Note
One of the 6 clocks that grace Reuters Plaza at Canary Wharf in London, England. Technically a public work of art called "Six Public Clocks" they have 12 faces and each one shows a single and different number one to twelve. Installed in 1999, they form a work by Konstantin Grcic being modelled on the classic Swiss railway clock.

Hi Brian,
Superb artistic capture. This is like a scene from the Mad Men series, America back in the 60's...

Hello Brian,
Very good POV with a centered placement of the clock in the frame, so we get an attractive and symmetrical composition. The circle clock makes a good contrast to the vertical lines of the building. Flawless depth of field and perfect sharpness. Well spotted and realised.

Jean

Hi Brian,
I like the idea of this artwork, it's one of those things that is right in the heart of the hustle and bustle, but would make you stop and wonder what exactly it is supposed to represent, while I would have no iðea or know even where to begin to ineterpret it, it's a good thing alone if it makes you stop, removes you from the city for a moment, and makes you wonder. The very point of art in my opinion. Beautiful presentation against the iconic tower.
Cheers

Hi Brian,
though the idea of the capture is great, I've got some problems with the irritating distortion of a circle into an oblong.
You managed to depict your nickname in a very intricate way...
BTW: Do they work properly? In long gone times in Germany, a glance at a public station clock would definitely give you the exact time. Nowadays, you cannot rely on them any more. On my home station, each of the four different clocks might show a different (and in some cases: a non-existant) time, alas!

Hello Brian,
I am a real lover of clocks and I'm not quite sure why I didn't "clock" this picture earlier. Ho, hum.
Your note reminds me of a double-sided clock which sat in the grounds of a hospital where I once worked: it had been stuck there in memory of a hospital administrator who had previously worked there. That particular clock was notoriously unreliable and inaccurate which made some of the staff remark that it was the perfect memorial to a hospital administrator because it was "two-faced and never told the truth"!
This is a very simple yet very elegant clock and your photograph has captured that elegance perfectly with the main subject nicely portrayed against its darker background and with the oblique lighting bringing out its "brushed bronze" finish beautifully.
A fine strong composition with lovely light and colours and exquisite details and sharpness.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Brian
I really like the tones in this image. It's dark and moody in spite of obvious bright sunshine.

Punchy and very graphic, this works very well Brian. The title sent me straight to Youtube and Rocky Horror.
Any snow down your way or is it all further north?

Hi Brian,
very creative composition, I like the resulting geometry here. The steel reflecting sun seems to be common for both the clock and the building behind. Lovely effect, sort of industrial touch.
Excellent work,
M

Grand idea of yours.
