Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

My photograph, this morning, shows an old barn at Newton-in-Bowland. This village is ancient, first recorded in the 11th century Doomsday Book.

The buildings are all made of local stone, not a brick to be seen, which gives it that olde worlde charm.

This old barn, no longer used for its original purpose, has been renovated to a high standard and now serves as a home, full of character and, no doubt, many memories.

The village green, in front of the barn, has been planted with tulips and makes the most attractive, red carpet, for all who visit the village.

I might just add that the Parker's Arms, nearby, serves excellent food.

If you would like to know more about Newton, just follow this link.

I wish you all a great day from a very sunny and warm England, Bev :-)
