Photographer's Note
This is my second photo of the abandoned village on the island of Hirta in the St. Kila archipelago.
It is a haunting place to visit, particularly if you know more about the life on the islanders who were evacuated in 1930 at their own request. My previous photo gives slightly more information on this matter and there are many books and websites who talk about this magical place.

Hello Christopher,
you have found an excellent pov to show us what remains of St Kilda.This view is new to me. It shows us St Kilda as a one street village. I imagine that you must of felt all sorts of emotions on your visit here.
